There are some areas where you can find lifeguards and restaurants such as those closer to the pier. But there are other areas with more seclusion and wildlife to see.

The beaches of Pensacola are known for its powder white sugar sands and endless emerald-blue waters. It is one of the nicest beaches to visit.

From kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, bicycling and or taking dolphin tours, there are countless things for you to do.


There are lifeguards present in the main beach areas during the day so you can definitely feel a sense of security when swimming.

So yes you can relax now.

Who doesn’t want to feel safe when swimming.

Of course, you should always practice safety at all times, while having a good time!

Top things to do in or around Pensacola Beach

Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier  

If you do go to the main beach you will find plenty of restaurants to eat both on or off the pier.  

So yes you can find food!

What’s a beach vacation without some good seafood or local restaurant.

It is one of the best places to grab a bite if you do not want to drive around

Parking on the main Pensacola Beach Pier was free of charge. Which was pretty surprising.

Even though there is plenty of parking, I am sure the lot can fill up quickly in the summer peak hours.

Gulf Breeze Zoo

If you’re looking for other activities to do, then another great place to check out is the Gulf Breeze Zoo, it was voted among one of the nicest places to visit if you have more than a day to spare.

There all sorts of wildlife to enjoy and you can most easily spend longer than a day here.

Fort Pickens State Park

Is known as a old military fort that was built back in the 1830s to defend Pensacola Bay. Even though it is an additional cost, many people say it is worth it.

This is definitely a family friendly activity you can do after and it is very educational.

Things to keep in mind while visiting Pensacola Beach

Always be on the look out for rip currents, and check weather patterns before you.

Parking can be found on the main Pensacola Beach pier parking area along with other open access lots near the beach.

Stay for the sunset. The colors are just mesmerizing and you’ll never want to leave.

Bringing your dog to Pensacola Beach

Head on over to Pensacola’s Neighboring beaches and look for Pensacola Beach on the east end or west side. It is here where your pup can run to his/her heart’s content.

It is a nice quiet beach for you and your pup!

Every summer you can ride a free trolley ride that typically runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day in September!

It’s free of charge!

Pensacola Beach like many other beaches are known for its spectacular beach vacations. Not only does the mesmerizing emerald waters and sugar white sands call you in, but the fun beach vibe too.

There many things you can do from watching the sunrise and sunset at the beach to walking the famous Gulf Pier of Pensacola.
