Although depending on where you go, the temperature of the water can be chilly.

For example, I went to Ormond Beach, New Smyrna, and the Gulf Shores, and the waters were cold!

It was still a relaxing time at the beach, but the water temperatures were a bit chilly.

The beaches are practically empty!

In the springtime, the beaches in Florida are less crowded than they are during other times of the year.

So if you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy the sun, this is the perfect time to visit.

Summer is usually the busiest time of the year and the crowds can be overwhelming.

But in the spring, you’ll have the beach all to yourself! So if you are looking for that spring vacation, then definitely in February is the a great time to go.

March and April has more spring breakers since different school schedule around this time. May is also a great time to go!

Avoiding spring breakers In Florida?

If you’re looking to avoid the crowds, then you should definitely avoid spring break which primarily fall !

This is usually the busiest time of year and the beaches are packed with people.

So if you’re looking for a more relaxing vacation, we recommend visiting Florida in the springtime.

Possibly early spring such as February or later spring such as May.

When I visited Miami for the first time, I had no idea that it was spring break and some roads were closed due to spring breakers!

But going in early or late spring will definitely let you enjoy the time more.

You’ll enjoy beautiful weather, empty beaches, and all the attractions that Florida has to offer!

Things to do in Florida

There’s plenty to do in Florida, no matter what your interests are.

For nature lovers, there are hiking trails and state parks to explore. Or if you’re looking for some excitement, you can visit one of the many theme parks in the area.

And of course, don’t forget about the beaches! There are plenty of activities to keep you busy, whether you’re looking for a relaxing vacation or an action-packed getaway.

There are so many great places to see and things to do in Florida! Here are just a few of our favorites:

  • The Everglades National Park: This is a must-see for any nature lover. You can take a boat tour through the park and see alligators, turtles, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
  • Orlando: Home to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and many other great theme parks, Orlando is a great place for families or anyone who loves roller coasters and rides.
  • Miami: The city of Miami is full of culture and nightlife. There are many great restaurants, bars, and clubs to check out. You can also visit South Beach for some fun in the sun.
  • The gorgeous beaches of Florida such as Clearwater Beach and Daytona Beach are definitely worth a visit. If your looking for history then head to St. Augustine. There are lots of gorgeous beaches in Florida.

Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your visit to Florida:

  • Pack sunscreen and insect repellent, even if you don’t think you’ll need it. The sun can be stronger than you expect, and there are always mosquitoes around!
  • Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, whether you’re exploring the city or hitting the beach.
  • Bring a hat or sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun.
  • Be prepared for rain showers. They usually don’t last long, but it’s always good to have an umbrella on hand.
  • If you’re driving, be aware of traffic laws. Florida has a few unusual laws, such as and the tolls are always unexpected! Most rentals now include it in price because there are hardly any toll checkers anymore.
  • Check the weather forecast before you travel. Hurricane season runs from June to November, so if you’re visiting during that time, be sure to keep an eye on the news.
  • If you’re visiting a theme park, buy your tickets in advance. This will save you time and money. Always buy them through the app. I learned this when working a theme park!
  • If you’re staying in a hotel, ask about discounts. Many hotels offer discounts for AAA members, seniors, and military personnel.
  • When dining out, look for restaurants that offer happy hour specials. You can usually find great deals on food and drinks during this time.

There are so many great foods to try in Florida! Key lime pie is a must-have, as well as fresh seafood.

If you’re in the Miami area, be sure to try Cuban food. And no matter where you are in the state, you can always find delicious citrus fruits.

I know a lot of people also like trying alligator and many of my friends says its delicious since it taste a lot like chicken, however I personally have not tried it.

One thing that i did notice is that in Florida there is a lot of Brazilian food everywhere! I found a large number of restaurants. So that another great option to try while visiting!


So, if you’re looking for someplace to go in the next few weeks before it gets too hot, or if you want to beat the summer crowds, head on down to Florida.

In my personal opinion, Spring is the best time to go! Right before the summer crowds, hurricane season, and humid temperatures!

With its moderate temperatures and plethora of activities, you won’t regret it. There are really so many things to do and whether its theme parks you are looking for or some quiet beach relaxation, there really is something for everyone here!
